McCann FitzGerald advises RBS on the sale of its aircraft leasing business

We advised Royal Bank of Scotland on the Irish aspects of the sale of its Dublin-based aircraft leasing business to Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation of Japan for $7.3 billion (€5.8 billion). The deal is subject to regulatory approvals which are expected to be received by the end of the third quarter this year.
RBS Aviation Capital is the world’s fourth largest aircraft lessor by owned and managed fleet value and, when completed, will be the biggest ever sale of an aircraft leasing business in the world.
