McCann FitzGerald awarded Ireland Law Firm of the Year 2011 by the International Financial Law Review

McCann FitzGerald, was last night awarded Ireland Law Firm of the Year by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR) at a ceremony in London. This is the fourth time McCann FitzGerald has won the award in the last eight years.
The award is based on a review of Ireland's most significant corporate and finance transactions over the past twelve months. It is presented annually to the Irish law firm which has demonstrated the best legal performance by providing exceptional local law advice on innovative international deals.
Recently, McCann FitzGerald acted as the leading legal advisor in a number of the most significant international business transactions including the sale of AIB’s shareholding in US based M&T Bank Corporation raising net proceeds of $2bn, the US$380 million acquisition by Waha Capital PJSC of a 20% share in NYSE listed AerCap, the €217 million acquisition of Norkom Group plc by BAE Systems plc as well as the sale of C&C Group plc’s Spirits & Liquers division to William Grant, the Irish aspects of Kingspan’s €120m acquisition of CRH Insulation Europe and Petroceltic International plc’s successful $120.5m share placing.
