We work with leading domestic and multinational clients on advertising campaigns and sponsorship agreements that form part of their marketing arsenal. In particular we focus on sponsorship and naming rights agreements and advising on brand protection strategy, advertising and product placement. We also provide advice to clients on compliance with advertising and marketing codes of practice, including the ASAI Code.

  • Association of Irish Racecourses on media rights deals in respect of horseracing fixtures held at its members’ racecourses
  • Champion Products advertising and sponsorship deals, including deals with FIBA (the international Basketball Association) and Galatasaray, which deals also involve significant branding issues including trade mark ownership and licensing
  • Ervia on its naming rights deal for the Grand Canal Theatre, which has been known as the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre since March 2012, along with a significant sports sponsorship agreement with the GAA (Ireland’s largest sporting organisation boasting more than 1 million members worldwide)
  • ESB on its sponsorship agreement with the GAA regarding the Cúl Green Project at Croke Park
  • Bord Gais Energy on its sponsorship agreement with the GAA
  • MacDonalds on their sponsorship agreement with the Football Association of Ireland
  • National Transport Authority on its sponsorship and naming rights agreement with Coca Cola for the public bike schemes in Cork, Galway and Limerick
  • RaboDirect on all aspects of the drafting and negotiation of the title sponsorship deal for the renaming of the Magners League rugby competition as the “RaboDirect PRO12”
  • O2 (now known as Three) on the naming and sponsorship rights agreement in respect of the renaming of the Point Depot as “The O2” (now known as the Three Arena)
  • TV3 in relation to product placement agreements and television sponsorship agreements
  • Vodafone Ireland on misleading and unfair comparative advertising claims in connection with competitor advertisements
  • Volkswagen Group Ireland on its sponsorship agreement with the Irish Rugby Football Union
